Starring Liam Neeson in the lead role, the movie is based on the life of the German industrialist Oskar Schindler who was responsible for providing refuge to thousands of Holocaust refugees by recruiting them to work in his factories. The movie is an adaptation of the non - fiction novel Wiseguy authored by Nicholas Pliegi.
Another movie that may be counted among the best movies of the 90s is Saving Private Ryan. This is another Steven Speiburg movie that shows the director's unmatched talent. The movie is about saving a paratrooper who gets lost in the enemy territory. Released in 1998, this movie starrs Tom Hanks as Captain John H. Miller. With three brothers dead in the service of the country and the fourth brother trapped behind enemy lines, the movie is about how the fourth brother is found and brought to his mother. It is a totally engaging action thriller.

Well i am not sure i agree with you regarding Saving Private Ryan, but Schindlers List and Goodfellas were both great films.
