The name itself is not foreign to any gamer. It is known to be the the best RTS game out there and I tell you now, Starcraft 2 does not disappoint. To start things of, let's talk about the campaign. Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty focuses on the story of the Terrans. The campaign is well thought out, it trains you to to the new features of Starcraft 2 as well as introduces the game to new comers. If your not new to Starcraft, you won't find the campaign boring nor find it too difficult to play if your new to the game, the balance is perfect. But old and new to Starcraft will agree, the story will most likely draw you in.

Aside from the already awesome campaign in Starcraft 2, it is still one of the most balanced RTS games out there, I'd like to say it IS the most balanced, but then again, there are a lot of RTS out there that I haven't played yet. Spamming (making a lot of the same unit) is not an automated WIN button in Starcraft 2 which makes it more strategic than most RTS. Which makes the other feature in Starcraft 2 really handy, and in-game unit information, wherein you can see the strength and weakness of each unit. This feature makes it easy for newcomers to compete with other players.

The only thing that seems to be a flaw in Starcraft 2 is that is has no LAN features. It is both understandable why Blizzard did not include this (lesson learned from Warcraft 3 and Starcraft) at the same time, disappointing. I do miss the times wherein you walk past an internet cafe and see people playing Starcraft through LAN, it makes you want to rent a PC and join in the pub action. Aside from the lack of LAN, the game is still enjoyable through battlenet. Although there is another problem regarding battlenet, you need to be online to play skirmishes which is again, another disappointment. So playing Starcraft 2 on your laptop while visiting somewhere remote wherein internet access is little or none will render your Starcraft 2 pretty much useless unless you plan on playing campaign mode only.
All in all, Starcraft 2 is a must buy whether you are an old fan or a new one. As same can be told if you are new to the RTS genre or an avid fan of these types of games. The game is balanced, as most will tell you, engaging and enjoyable.
