Xeph introduced me to Dofus a few years ago. Back when everybody in the Philippines played Ragnarok Online (RO).
I instantly fell in love with the characters, the interface, the environment and the community. The server we played in was based in the US, but it was open for everybody. It was still in it's open beta phase when we started playing.
Dofus is a turn-based MMORPG. Which means you have to take turns attacking the mob or the enemies. You have 12 Classes to choose from, the Ecaflip, the Sadida, the Eniripsa, the Osamodas, the Iop, the Enutrof, the Cra, the Sram, the Feca, the Xelor, the Sacrier, and the Pandawa.
The Sadida - a bit of Magic and Summon combined. They make use of poisons, dolls, and brambles to inflict massive damage on an enemy. You better think twice before messing with these creatures.
The Eniripsa is everybody's favorite support. Not so much of a damage dealer, Eniripsas have the ability to become a very powerful healer. You wouldn't want them on the enemy's side during a battle.
The Osamodas are born Summoners. They have the ability to summon different creatures. Osamodas pretty much let their summons do the work for them. For a strategic game, this class is a no brainer, all you have to do is find a spot and then summon your way to victory or until you annoy the hell out of your opponent until he gives up, that is.
Massive damage, you say? Then the Iop is a perfect choice for you. They excel in close range combat. Always the front liner, their main goal is to approach and kill the enemy. You wouldn't want to get in their way if I were you.
The Enutrof are well-known treasure hunters. They will boost your luck, which means a better chance for mobs to drop good equipments. Players love them for the items, though they also curse the Enutrofs for being soooo time consuming.
The Cra specializes in Archery. Their arrows can inflict massive damage on an enemy. Melee often stay away from these talented archers unless they are on the same side.
No MMO is complete without an Assasin, in this case the Sram. They specialize in their deviousness, traps and their invisibility. Aside from that, the Sram is the only class where you have the choice to use a dagger or a bow as your main weapon. A slight mistake on their build and you can just forget about it, log out and create a new one. But once you learn how to use a Sram there is no stopping you. Unlike the Osamodas, Srams require you to put your brain into good use (haha). They excel most during the late game, which means you would have to wait a little while before you see how powerful a Sram really is.
The jobs are very exciting too, you can be whatever you want, an alchemist, a baker, a farmer, a tailor, a fisherman and more!
Well...what are you waiting for? Log on in their website and download! There is a catch though, it's Pay-2-Play. But with their affordable rates, I don't think paying will stop you from playing it.
That's that. Let me leave a bunch of pictures to tempt you a little bit more...LOL.
